Stevie Ussery, age 52 of Hickory, was taken into custody Thursday morning by Catawba County Sheriff’s Deputies. Ussery was charged with assault by pointing a gun and breaking and entering to terrorize or injure. He is being held in the Catawba County Detention Center with a secured bond of $10,000. A Friday court appearance is scheduled in Newton.
