Lincoln County – In reference to the fatal hit-and-run vehicle collision that occurred on Business 321 in Lincoln County on Thursday, June 20th, the North Carolina State Highway Patrol has made an arrest. Zachary Joseph Deal, 21 of Hickory, was arrested Friday evening by the NC State Highway Patrol. He was charged with felony hit and run, failure to report an accident, and failure to render medical assistance. He is being held at the Lincoln County Detention Center under a $10,000 secured bond.
