Matthew Vernon Jones
Taylorsville Police Officers responded to the Northwood Park community in reference to an intoxicated male walking in the street.
30-year-old Matthew Vernon Jones of Hepler RD, starting yelling at the officers as they arrived. He opened the door of the police cruiser and started grabbing items. He was charged with felony breaking and entering a motor vehicle. Jones said to be highly impaired was also charged with resisting a public officer.
The suspect got a free ride to the Alexander County Detention Center where he’s being held without bond.
