Gunfire And Arrests Overnight In Taylorsville

On 3/23/2026 at 8:53PM, officers with the Taylorsville Police Department responded to 383 Old Wilkesboro Road to a civil dispute. Numerous secondary calls came in stating shots were fired in the area of the dispute.

Officers arrived on scene and located a shell casing on the roadside and a search warrant was conducted. During the search, officers located ammunition matching the spent shell casing, and a Glock 29 firearm.

34 year old Trenton Bennett of Taylorsville was charged with possession of a firearm by a felon, discharging a firearm within city limits, and resisting a public officer. He received a $30,000 secured bond

57 year old Angela Clanton of Taylorsville was charged with Disorderly Conduct, and resisting a public officer. Due to being out on bond, she was placed on a 48 hour hold.

37 year old Yakima Green of Taylorsville was charged with Disorderly Conduct and Resisting a Public Officer. She was also out on bond and was placed under a 48 hour hold.
