The answer, an emphatic No !
A proposed gun range to be located off Teague Town Road in the Wittenburg Community was rejected 7-2 by the Alexander County Panning and Zoning Commission Thursday Night.
Landon Ferguson applied for a permit to locate the range and a gun store on a parcel of property off Teague Town Road. The issue stirred much discussion in the community and enough interest to have the public hearing moved to a larger venue. It was scheduled last week at Taylorsville Town Hall but the turnout exceeded the capacity for Town Hall Chambers.
Despite the decision last night, the Alexander County Board of Commissioners could still give the range a go.
