Granite Falls Man Busted In Drug Raid

A residence, used for selling methamphetamine, received a visit by the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office ICE Unit, Granite Falls Police Department and the Lenoir Police Department when they executed a narcotics search warrant at 7 Pinewood Road in Granite Falls.

The suspect, Clinton Dean Cooper, age 48, was taken into custody without incident. Agents conducted a search of the home and located approximately 135 grams of Methamphetamine. The Methamphetamine has a street value of $20,250 according to North Carolina Drug State Guidelines.

As a result, Cooper was charged with Felonious Trafficking of Methamphetamine and Felonious Maintaining a Dwelling to Keep/Store a Controlled Substance. Cooper was incarcerated in the Caldwell County Detention Center under a $25,000 secured bond.
