Justin Hawn is no longer the head football coach at Freedom High School in Morganton. An announcement by the school on Friday did not specify if Hawn resigned.
According to a release, the program’s players were informed on Friday afternoon and the search for a new coach will begin soon.
Hawn took over in February 2020, meaning his first season was the Spring 2021 COVID campaign. He coached the next three full fall seasons, compiling a record of 16-21.
The Patriots went 3-7 this Fall that included a season-ending 35-7 loss to Alexander Central.
