Freedom High School in Morganton has announced that their football program has been placed in COVID quarantine. Their game against South Caldwell scheduled for this Friday has been postponed as has the Thursday jv game. The Patriots played Alexander Central last Friday night in Taylorsville. No information has been released if Freedom’s situation might have impacted the Cougar Football team which won 53-12.
South Caldwell is attempting to make an arrangement and possibly schedule a game for Friday.
In another note from the Northwestern Conference, Hickory’s non-conference varsity game at Forestview has been moved from Friday night to Saturday at 2 p.m.
