The winner of the Alexander County Schools Spelling Bee is Jace Foster, 7th grader from East Alexander Middle School. (He’s wearing grey in the picture). He won with the word bodega. Jace goes to compete in March at Panthers Stadium in the regional spelling bee.
Second-place goes to Cinthia Herrera-Salinas, an 8th grader from West Alexander. She was eliminataed on the word maladaptive.
