Stony Point firefighters assisted Iredell County units early Tuesday morning as an abandoned structure was destroyed.
Shortly after 4am, the West Iredell Fire Department and Monticello Fire Department along with Stony Point were called to a fire in-progress off Lippard Farm Road in Western Iredell County.
No injuries were reported and the blaze is under investigation by the Iredell County Fire Marshall’s Office.
