Felony Drug And Weapons Charges Filed Against Claremont Man

A Claremont man is facing a series of charges following his arrest on Monday.

27-year old Antonio Rawhawn Whitworth was taken into custody by Hickory Police and charged with felony possession of cocaine, two counts of possession of a firearm by a felon, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia and driving with license revoked. Whitworth is being held in the Catawba County Detention Center with a bond set at $97,000. A Newton court appearance is scheduled for today.
