Anthony Edward Sturgill, age 32 of Taylorsville, was arrested by Deputies with the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office on Saturday. He has been charged with felony assault by strangulation, felony assault-inflicting serious injury, and misdemeanor assault-communicating threats. He remains in the Alexander County Detention Center as of this morning (December 12) with a court date scheduled for Monday, December 13th in Taylorsville.
