The FedEx Ship Center location off Fairgrove Church Road in Conover will close before year’s end.
An estimated 66 couriers and three managers will be laid off. A report did not comment on how the closure could impact package delivery or services in the area.
Employees whose positions will be eliminated will be provided options such as relocation, severance, or a leave of absence.
