A two vehicle head-on collision this afternoon has resulted in one person being killed and two others being flown to regional medical facilities.
The crash was reported around 1:45 pm just north of the Oxford Dam Bridge on NC Highway 16.
The North Carolina Highway Patrol in investigating and traffic is detoured in both directions at this time.
