A man was killed and two others injured in a two-vehicle collision Saturday evening in Wilkes County. The crash was reported on US 421 in the Mount Pleasant Community.
The driver of a vehicle that went off the roadway and down an embankment was killed. A female passenger in the was injured. She was transported to Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem. At least one person in a second vehicle was also injured.
The wreck occurred about 6:15 p.m.
