Blair Eddins will officially be sworn in as a member of the North Carolina House of Representatives on Tuesday, October 1st. Eddins will fill the remainder of Jeffrey Elmore’s term following his recent resignation.
The swearing-in ceremony will take place at 5:30 p.m., at the Community Commons Park in Downtown Wilkesboro.
Eddins was nominated to fill the role on September 19, and the North Carolina General Assembly received a proclamation from the Governor on September 24 appointing him to the seat. Eddins, who remains on the ballot in November for a term beginning in January. 2025. He will represent District 94, comprised of Alexander County and most of Wilkes County.
Steve Moree is the Democrat candidate on the November ballot.
