An investigation is underway after an infant died on Tuesday at a Morganton motel.
Officers with the Morganton Department of Public Safety were dispatched to the Super 8 Motel on South Sterling Street at around 9:30 a.m. following a call indicating an infant was in cardiac arrest.
The cause of death is under investigation. No more information will be released until after an autopsy.
