Eligible individuals who want to cast their ballot on Election Day (Tuesday, November 5, 2024) must register to vote by today.
Individuals who miss that deadline may register and vote at the same time during the early voting period from October 17 through November 2, at any of the three (3) early voting sites in Alexander County. Same-day registrants must attest to their eligibility and provide proof of where they live.
To register, eligible individuals have the following options:
• If you have a North Carolina driver’s license or other DMV identification, you may register to vote online.
• Any eligible resident can complete a voter registration application in English or Spanish on paper and return it to the Alexander County Board of Elections office by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, October 11.
Voters can check their voter registration status using the voter search tool on the NC State Board of Elections website https://www.ncsbe.gov
. Voters should make sure they are registered to vote in their current county of residence.
Voters who have moved to another county in North Carolina must register in their new county of residence prior to the registration deadline.
