As the result of a traffic stop on the evening of Thursday, February 16th, Alexander County Sheriff’s Deputies made a pair of arrests.
33-year old Lauren Cassidy Bolick Swaby of Hickory was charged with felony possession of methamphetamine, felony maintaining a vehicle/dwelling/or place for controlled substance and felony possession of schedule II controlled substance. She was served warrants for failing to appear on Catawba County charges that include felony probation violation, providing fictitious information to an officer and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bolick Swaby is still listed as an inmate in the Alexander County Detention Center with s secured bond of $54,000. A court appearance was scheduled for Monday in Taylorsville. 31-year old Steven Tyler Philbeck of Granite Falls is charged with felony possession of a stolen motor vehicle, felony possession of schedule II controlled substance, possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver methamphetamine, felony maintaining a vehicle/dwelling/place for controlled substance and felony probation violations. Philbeck remains in the Alexander County Detention Center with a bond set at $50,000. He was scheduled for court on Monday.Photos: Alexander County Sheriff’s Office
