Alexander Central placed a distant second to St Stephens in the Northwestern Conference Wrestling Tournament on Saturday. The event was held at Freedom High School in Morganton.
St Stephens had seven weight class champions in the event and won 222.5 to the Cougars 127. Freedom and South Caldwell tied for third place with 99 points each.
