After a slow start in the game played in Mooresville, Alexander Central took over and routed the home-standing Pride. Up only 25-23 at the half, the Cougars outscored Pine Lake 14-0 in the third quarter. Four Cougars scored in double figures led by Evan Presnell with 13. Dusty Sigmon had 12, Avery Cook added 11 and Grove Lowrance contributed 10. The Cougars have won eight straight games and are 8-1.
