Laney Wike pitched a one-hit shutout for the Lady Cougars on Friday in Lenoir. Lainey Russell and Ava Chapman had two runs batted in each and Anna Jordan scored twice to lead AC. Alexander Central has won five straight games and are 4-0 in Northwestern Conference play. They’re 9-3 overall. Hibriten drops to 1-3 and 6-5.
