The Cougars fell behind 4-2 after 4 innings in Morganton before scoring three times in the 5th and adding a pair of runs in the 7th. Mason Chapman Mays came on in the 4th and went 3.1 innings allowing only a hit to get the win. Left Fielder Grove Lowrance went 2-2 and drove in 3 for the Cougars, Mays also knocked in a pair.
Alexander Central is now 2-8 on the season. The win ended a 6-game losing streak for the Cougars.
