Defending Champion Alexander Central took advantage of 7 West Lincoln errors to win their opening round game on Monday in the Catawba Valley Easter Baseball Classic.
The Cougars scored a pair of runs in the 1st inning and added another 4 in the 2nd. The Rebels pulled to within 6-3 after 4 but AC plated 5 runs in inning 5 to seal the win.
Sawyer Chapman-Mays, Jaret Hoppes and Bubba Pope had two rbi each to lead the Cougars.
