Conover Man Reported As Missing…Updated

The North Carolina Center for Missing Persons has issued a Missing Endangered Alert requesting assistance in finding a man missing from Catawba County. The alert was issued late Saturday night.

Citizens are asked to be on the lookout for 80-year-old Richard Carroll Henchey, who is believed to be suffering from a cognitive impairment. He is described as a white male, 5’8”, 225 pounds with short gray hair and blue eyes.

Mr. Henchey was last seen wearing a tan jacket with a blue long sleeve shirt and blue sweatpants. He is missing from an address on Birdie Lane NE in Conover. He was last seen on Conover Boulevard East heading toward Highway 16.

Henchey’s vehicle is a silver 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee, N.C. license plate number KJZ1968.
