Conover Man Charged In Long View Shooting Incident

A Conover man was arrested on Tuesday on charges stemming from a shooting in the town of Long View.

Daniel Perez Jr., age 20, is charged with one count each of felony discharging a weapon into occupied property and felony possession of a machine gun accoring to Long View Police.

The incident was reported on 22nd St. SW in Long View on March 3rd. A 911 call was received at 11 pm reporting the shooting. An apartment and several vehicles were struck by gunfire according to police.

This investigation is ongoing. More charges are expected.
