Jordan Ashley Abernathy, 45 of Conover, was arrested on felony drug trafficking charges on Monday by the Catawba County Sheriff’s Office. He’s charged with felony trafficking opium and or heroin, possession with intention to manufacture/sell/deliver methamphetamine, felony possession of methamphetamine, felony possession of schedule II controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Abernathy is being held in the Catawba County Detention Center under a secured bond of $70,000. A first court appearance is set for today in Newton.
