Cleveland County Man Pleads Guilty To Statutory Rape In Alexander County Superior Court

Carol Henry Maloney, age 43 of Grover, NC will serve 180-276 months (15-23 years) in state prison after entering a guilty plea to five-counts of statutory rape in Alexander Superior Court in July. Maloney was arrested on November 2nd, 2022 by the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies had traveled to Cleveland County to make the arrest. Maloney will be required to register as a sex-offender upon his release and has a no contact order with the victim.
