A Claremont man has been detained in Alexander County. 34-year-old Joshua Andrew Ballard was taken into custody Tuesday afternoon by the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office. He was served a Catawba County warrant for felony possession of methamphetamine. Ballard is being held without bond pending transfer to the Catawba County Detention Center.
