A man from Claremont was arrested over the weekend and charged with kidnapping. 42 year old Christopher Woodrow Minton was taken into custody by the Catawba County Sheriff’s Office on Saturday and charged with felony first degree kidnapping, felony assault with a deadly weapon, and domestic criminal trespass. Minton was placed in the Catawba County Detention Center without bond. He is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday, November 13th.
