Charges Filed Against Taylorsville Man

Jeffery Allen Bortz, age 38 of Taylorsville, is in custody on a series of charges. He was arrested on Tuesday after being served with failure to appear warrants. Bortz has a number of charges pending by Taylorsville Police for felony possession of methamphetamine and both felony and misdemeanor possession of schedule VI controlled substance.

Bortz has pending charges in Catawba County for felony breaking and entering and violation of his habitual felon status. As of this morning Bortz remained in the Alexander County Detention Center with a secured bond of $4,000.
