Bradley Joe Byers, age 43 of Catawba, was taken into custody on Monday for violating his parole by the Office of Probation and Parole. When being processed at the Alexander County Detention Center he was found to be in possession of drugs and charged with felony possession of controlled substance on jail premises and possession of drug paraphernalia. Byers remains in custody as of earlier today with a bond set at $30,000. A February 10th court date is set for Alexander County District Court.
