31-year-old Elizabeth Nicole Pearson of Hickory was arrested Tuesday by Catawba County Sheriff’s Deputies. She’s been charged with felony trafficking in opium or heroin, cocaine, and marijuana.
Pearson has also charged with possession with intent to manufacture/ sell/ and deliver synthetic cannabinoid and possession with intent to sell and deliver synthetic cannabinoid, possession with intent to manufacture/sell and deliver marijuana, felony possession of cocaine, possession with intent to manufacture/sell and deliver schedule I controlled substance, maintaining a place for a controlled substance, possession with intent to manufacture/ sell and deliver schedule II controlled substance and multiple counts of possession of drug paraphernalia.
Pearson is being held in the Catawba County Detention Center with a secured bond of $415,000. A Newton court appearance is scheduled for today.

Update: The Catawba County Sheriff’s Office says they confiscated 60 pounds of marijuana, 260 grams of cocaine, 47 oxycodone pills, 15 units of THC vape cartridges, THC wax, nine grams of MDMA, five dosage units of ecstasy and $1,417 in cash.
