Almany’s sentence length was enhanced by prior felony convictions for possession of stolen firearm (October 2018) in Gaston County, financial card fraud (June 2016) in Catawba County and larceny (June 2014) in Lincoln County.
Prior convictions contributing to the habitual larceny charges included misdemeanor larceny (July 2023) in Catawba County, larceny of motor vehicle (March 2023), larceny after breaking/entering (June 2015) and larceny (June 2014), all in Lincoln County.
Almany pleaded guilty to criminal acts that took place between May 30 and July 16, 2024. The offenses were investigated by the Hickory Police Department and the Catawba County Sheriff’s Office.
