ᴄᴀᴛᴀᴡʙᴀ ᴄᴏᴜɴᴛʏ, ɴᴄ –A child exploitation investigation conducted by the Catawba County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division (CID) resulted in the arrest of a Sherrills Ford man on multiple felony charges. The investigation began after information regarding possible child exploitation activity was received from law enforcement authorities in Ohio.
As a result of the investigation, Dustin Lineberger, 30, of Sherrills Ford, was identified as a suspect and taken into custody on June 12, 2026.
Lineberger has been charged with:
• Ten (10) counts of First-Degree Sexual Exploitation of a Minor
Lineberger is currently being held in the Catawba County Detention Facility under a $250,000 secured bond. His next scheduled court date is July 9, 2026.
