Catawba County Man Charged With Cockfighting

A Claremont man has been charged with cockfighting and resisting arrest. 33-year-old Nou Thao was arrested Thursday, December 26th by the Catawba County Sheriff’s Office. He is no longer listed in custody after posting a bond of $4,000. Thao is scheduled to make a first court appearance today in Newton.
