The Catawba County Sheriff’s Office says that on Friday at approximately 10:00 p.m. Deputies responded to a report of an Armed Robbery at the Propst Superette located at Hwy 10 East and Mt Olive Church Rd. The Stores clerk reported that a person, dressed in all black, broke out the glass to the stores front entrance and entered just after closing time. This person, armed with a handgun, ordered the clerk to surrender the stores money. This person then fled from the store and was last seen running towards Mt Olive Lutheran Church.
The clerk describes this suspect as an African American male dressed in all black. This suspect was also wearing gloves.
The Catawba County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division is furthering the investigation of this robbery and is asking for anyone with information or knowledge this crime to contact investigators at 828-464-3112.
