Faith Carrigan pitched a perfect game as Alexander Central’s softball team humbled Hickory on Wednesday in Hickory.
Carrigan retired all 15 batters she faced in the game called after 5 inning due to the 10-run mercy rule. She struck out 8 along the way as the Lady Cougars improved to 4-0 on the season.
AC had 12 hits led by Chesney Stikeleather who went 3-4, scoring 2 runs, and a run batted in. Peyton Price had two hits and a rbi. Kenzie Church knocked in a pair of runs.
