Caldwell County Woman Arrested For Stabbing Her Former Foster Mother

A foster care mother in Caldwell County has been stabbed , allegedly by a woman who was formerly under the foster mother’s care.

The Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office says Kelani Fields, 19, is charged with attempted first-degree murder.

A Granite Falls woman was stabbed multiple times at her residence on Saturday in Granite Falls.

It has been reported that a number of Caldwell Community College basketball players were at the residence and detained the suspect until emergency units arrived.

The victim is listed in stable condition.

Fields is being held in the Caldwell County Jail with a $500,000 secured bond.
