Caldwell County Suspects Charged In Connection With Attempted Murder

Few details have been made available but a pair of Caldwell County men are in custody facing charges related to an attempted murder.

51-year-old David Grover Wilson of Smithfield Drive in Hudson and 51-year-old Darian Isaac Cozart of N.C. Highway 268 in Lenoir were both arrested by Caldwell County Sheriff’s Deputies on Wednesday. Wilson is charged with four counts of assault with a deadly weapon on a government official and possession of a firearm by a felon. Cozart faces three felony counts of attempted first-degree murder and one count of discharging a firearm within an enclosure to incite fear.

Both suspects were jailed in the Caldwell County Detention Center with bond for each set at $1 million secured. Wilson was scheduled to make a first appearance in District Court today in Lenoir.
