A man was found dead along Highway 18 in Caldwell County on Tuesday.
The Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office confirmed it was investigating a death after the person was found on the side of the road. The sheriff’s office said it has identified the victim but isn’t releasing their name at this time. Surveillance video showed the man walking along the roadway earlier.
Circumstances surrounding the person’s death are still unclear. Detectives have not said if they’re looking for any suspects in the case.
