Caldwell County School Bus Runs Off Roadway. One Student Injured

Lenoir – On Wednesday, April 2, at approximately 3:10 p.m., the NC State Highway Patrol responded to and investigated a collision in Caldwell County on Mountain View Circle near Midas Bolick Road. A school bus from Gamewell Middle School, traveling east on Mountain View Circle, drove off the right side of the road and struck several trees. There were seven students on the bus at the time of the collision. One student was transported by EMS to an area hospital with minor injuries. The school bus driver was cited for exceeding the safe speed.
