A Caldwell County road will close until late August while N.C. Department of Transportation crews replace a pipe. Zack’s Fork Road will close near Dimmette Road at 8 a.m. next Monday, August 11, for the pipe replacement.
Crews will install a 72-inch pipe and extend the concrete headwall to improve water flow. Detour signs will guide drivers around the closure using Cottrell Hill Road, Wildwood Road, Wilkesboro Boulevard (N.C. 18), Blowing Rock Boulevard (U.S. 321) and Nuway Circle.
