37-year-old Daniel Matthew Burgess of Connelly Springs Road in Lenoir was arrested Sunday, August 3rd by Caldwell County Sheriff’s Officers. He’s charged with two felony counts of attempted first-degree murder. Burgess was incarcerated in the Caldwell County Detention Center without bond. No additional details were available in connection to the charges. An initial court appearance was scheduled on Monday.
