LENOIR- On Thursday, February 19th at approximately 09:17 a.m., the North Carolina State Highway Patrol responded to and investigated a serious injury collision on NC 18 near Tremont Park. A 2024 Ford Caldwell County Ambulance was traveling East on NC 18, crossed the centerline and collided with a Westbound 2011 Toyota Rav4, in Caldwell County.
The driver of the Ambulance, Ethan A. Miller, 46, of Hudson had no injuries.
The driver of the Rav4, Becky S. Hickok, 79, of Lenoir was transported to UNC Blue Ridge- Morganton with life threatening injuries.
The investigation is still ongoing. Charges are pending after consultation with the Caldwell County District Attorney’s Office.
