Two Alexander County Sheriff’s Office vehicles collided in a chase Friday night. No injuries were reported as the result of the mishap according to Sheriff Chris Bowman.

Bowman said this morning that a chase originated in Caldwell County. Assistance from Alexander County was requested as the chase crossed the county line on Petrey Mill Road. Two deputies collided at the intersection of Antioch Church Road and Highway 127. Sheriff Bowman says the chase eventually ended back in Caldwell County and a suspect was taken into custody. No information on the arrest or the circumstances of the pursuit is yet available from Caldwell County.
