Alexander County Sheriff Chad Pennell has confirmed that human remains have been discovered just north of Taylorsville.
Pennell says the body remains indicate the subject had been “deceased for some time.” The Sheriff indicates that hunters made the discovery on Monday afternoon and notified the Sheriff’s Office. No information has been released.
The area where the body was found is off Caldwell Drive near Schneider Mills.
The SBI is assisting in the investigation
