The Alexander County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting incident in the Hiddenite area.
Around 10 am, Alexander 911 got a call about a shooting. A male had been shot in the leg and was transported by Alexander EMS to an area hospital with a non life-threatening gunshot wound.
Sheriff Chad Pennell says that Investigators are working in different locations at this hour. The location of the shooting incident is not clear but it centers in the Mt Wesley Church Road area.
A person in interest is being questioned at this time.
