Bazzle Announces Coaching Retirement

A Former Alexander Central Football Coach has announced that he is retiring, again !

Nick Bazzle says he has left North Lincoln High School and concluded his coaching career. As the head coach at Newton-Conover High School for a dozen seasons, Bazzle led the Red Devils to a 2008 2A state championship.

Bazzle took over Alexander Central’s program in 2012 and stayed there through the 2015 season before announcing his initial retirement.

The itch was too great, Bazzle returned to the head coaching ranks at North Lincoln in 2018. His final team at North finished with a 12-2 overall record in 2024 before losing in the regional semi-final to Hickory.

Overall, Bazzle has a career win-loss record of 187-108. He’s had nine seasons with double-digit wins.
