Back To Jail For Taylorsville Man

Ethan Lee Cook, age 22 of Taylorsville, was arrested on Tuesday and charged with possession of a weapon by a felon and possession of drug paraphernalia. He’s being held in custody without bond.

Last August, Cook was released from prison after serving 19 months for assault with a deadly weapon on a law enforcement officer. The charges date back to December 2021 when Taylorsville Police attempted to stop a vehicle driven by Cook on Lewittes Road. Cook refused to stop and a chase began and ended on Old Vashti Road when the vehicle left the roadway and rolled into a field. According to the arrest report, Cook attempted to ram a patrol vehicle during the chase.
